Mohamed Salah broke yet another Premier League record during Liverpool’s match against Ipswich Town at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
The 32-year-old forward entered the game with Liverpool sitting atop the Premier League table. Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring for the home side just 11 minutes in, as Liverpool quickly took control against the struggling visitors.
Shortly before halftime, Salah netted his 19th Premier League goal of the season, bringing his campaign total to 23 goals and 17 assists in 31 games. Cody Gakpo provided the assist, finding Salah at the back post, where the Egyptian calmly doubled Liverpool’s lead.
With this goal, Salah not only strengthened his position as the league’s top scorer but also moved up to seventh in the Premier League’s all-time goal rankings, surpassing Thierry Henry’s 175 goals with an impressive total of 176. The strike also marked Salah’s 100th Premier League goal at Anfield.
