David Ornstein has confirmed that Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus is likely to face an extended period on the sidelines after suffering a suspected ACL injury during the match against Manchester United.
“Gabriel Jesus facing a lengthy absence due to a suspected ACL rupture,” Ornstein reported.
“Specialist assessments for the 27-year-old striker are scheduled for today to determine the full severity of the injury.”
Arsenal are reportedly considering transfer options, with overseas loans being the most probable course of action.
Arteta commented on the injury, stating, “He was in quite a lot of pain.”
