Arsenal needs to “break the bank” to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, as Kai Havertz will never be good enough. This is the opinion of Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan, who is urging the club to act in the transfer market after a difficult period for the team.
Following a draw with Brighton and a 2-0 loss to Newcastle, Arsenal now faces an uphill battle to reach the Carabao Cup final. Things worsened when they couldn’t defeat ten-man Manchester United, with Havertz missing numerous chances, ending their hopes of winning the FA Cup this season.
With key players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus sidelined, Arsenal is struggling to find goals. Morgan believes the club must act urgently, stating that the time for calm suggestions is over and that they need to sign a proper striker.
He specifically pointed to Alexander Isak, who has been in excellent form for Newcastle, scoring 15 goals in all competitions this season. Morgan is adamant that Arsenal should break the bank, offering up to £150 million to secure Isak’s signature, regardless of how the funds are raised.
He emphasized the urgency, pointing out that Arsenal has created numerous chances but struggled to convert them, with central defender Gabriel being the only player to score recently. He criticized the reliance on Havertz, stating that while the player is talented, he is not a striker. Morgan believes that Isak is currently one of the best strikers in Europe and that Arsenal must act if they want to compete for major trophies.
