Arsenal, who have long been in search of a top striker, have admired the Swedish international for some time. Meanwhile, Liverpool might turn to the former Borussia Dortmund player if they fail to secure a new deal with Mohamed Salah. Paris Saint-Germain has also expressed interest in Isak, and La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are not entirely ruled out as potential contenders.

According to a report from The Telegraph, Newcastle’s valuation of Isak could deter interested clubs. Journalist Luke Edwards revealed that the Magpies are demanding an astonishing £150 million for their prolific forward, the same amount quoted to Chelsea earlier this year to fend off their advances.

The club believes this figure is justified, considering Isak’s form and contributions. He has netted an impressive 42 goals in 68 Premier League matches and still has three-and-a-half years left on his current contract. Newcastle are also planning to negotiate an extension with the striker soon.

Isak joined Newcastle for a club-record £63 million from Real Sociedad in 2022, and the club now values him at more than twice that amount. This valuation, far exceeding the Premier League record £106 million transfer fee for Enzo Fernandez in 2023, could pose challenges for Arsenal and Liverpool due to Financial Fair Play regulations. Despite this, Newcastle remain confident about retaining their star player, with sources describing the club as “relaxed” and uninterested in selling him.

Eddie Howe Pushes for More from Isak

With 11 goals in his last 12 games, Isak has been in sensational form this season, yet manager Eddie Howe believes the striker can reach even greater heights.

In a press conference, Howe commented, “We provide him with information, and he’s very receptive. He’s not complacent and knows he has areas to improve. The challenge for him is to maintain his current level of scoring while continuing to develop his game.”

Howe added, “His game is in a good place right now, but my role is to push him further. Football is constantly evolving, and he has all the attributes to adapt and excel.”
