Arne Slot has confirmed that Calvin Ramsay will be available for selection when Liverpool face Bournemouth on Saturday, after missing the midweek victory over Marseille. The head coach explained that the 22-year-old was unavailable for Wednesday’s game at the Stade Velodrome due to ineligibility, but he will be an option at the Vitality Stadium.

Slot drew some attention last week after claiming he has “better options” at right-back than Ramsay. However, his mention of the Scottish defender now suggests that Ramsay hasn’t been completely ruled out of his plans.
Ramsay is still likely to start on the bench, with Jeremie Frimpong’s experience and impressive form putting him firmly ahead in the pecking order. That said, Frimpong’s injury history this season could worry Liverpool supporters, as any setback might rule him out during a crucial stage of the campaign.
