Tottenham poised to dismiss Thomas Frank as Tim Sherwood gives his assessment

Tim Sherwood has suggested that Thomas Frank’s spell as Tottenham head coach is nearing its end after Saturday’s late 2-1 loss to West Ham United.

Spurs fell behind in the first half through Crysencio Summerville before Cristian Romero brought them level just after the hour mark. Although Tottenham showed signs of improvement after a woeful opening 45 minutes, their recovery was cruelly halted in stoppage time when Callum Wilson netted a 93rd-minute winner.

Meanwhile, talk of possible replacements is already gathering pace. Oliver Glasner is believed to be the frontrunner, with the German expected to leave Crystal Palace in the summer, while Mauricio Pochettino, Xabi Alonso, Marco Silva and Enzo Maresca have also been mentioned as alternatives.

For many supporters, the campaign already feels beyond repair, with European qualification slipping away and domestic cup hopes extinguished. What was supposed to mark the start of an exciting new chapter under Frank has instead descended into widespread frustration and disappointment.
