Supporters react positively as new Thomas Frank sack update emerges following surprise West Ham defeat

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank faced growing frustration from supporters on Saturday following a shock 2–1 home defeat to West Ham United.

The late setback prompted sections of the home crowd to chant “sacked in the morning,” clearly expressing their dissatisfaction with the former Brentford boss, who is now under increasing pressure.

Addressing the chants during his post-match press conference, Frank acknowledged responsibility for the result. He admitted it was not an easy moment but accepted that criticism naturally falls on the manager. He added that as long as supporters continue to back the players and push the team forward, the focus remains on moving ahead.

The defeat means Tottenham have managed just one win in their last eight matches across all competitions and have dropped to 14th place in the Premier League table.

When asked whether he deserved more time, Frank stated that a lack of wins inevitably affects fan support but insisted that momentum would return once results improve. He maintained confidence in the team’s performances, pointing to recent matches against Bournemouth, Aston Villa and West Ham as evidence that the players are working hard and remaining competitive.

Frank also suggested the squad is closer to achieving something positive than it may appear, noting that Spurs could easily have won the match. He highlighted ongoing injury issues and the need for attacking players to contribute more goals, acknowledging that improvements cannot happen instantly. He emphasized his commitment, saying he continues to give everything daily and feels trust within the club, stressing that the only option is to keep pushing forward.

Meanwhile, The Times’ Chief Football Correspondent Jonathan Northcroft has reported that Frank’s future at Tottenham is now “in the balance” following the defeat. Should the club decide to part ways with the manager, there is currently no clear indication of who could replace him.
