Arsenal forward Nathan Butler-Oyedeji has attracted interest from Swiss club FC Zurich, according to Football Insider.
Zurich has approached Arsenal regarding the 21-year-old’s availability during the January transfer window as they aim to strengthen their attacking options.
Although Arsenal is eager to secure Butler-Oyedeji on a new contract, negotiations have stalled. The young attacker impressed during pre-season and has been included on the bench for Arsenal in both the Premier League and Champions League this season.
Butler-Oyedeji has been in excellent form for Arsenal’s Under-21s, scoring seven goals and providing six assists in just nine appearances this season. A lifelong Arsenal player, he joined the club at eight years old and signed his first professional contract in 2021.
The London-born talent gained senior experience during loan spells with Accrington Stanley and Cheltenham Town in League One, amassing 24 appearances. He also represented Arsenal’s senior side in the EFL Trophy.
Butler-Oyedeji, who has captained Arsenal’s Under-21 team in Premier League 2, is versatile, capable of playing as a winger on both flanks and as a centre-forward.
Meanwhile, FC Zurich, currently sixth in the Swiss Super League, previously competed in this season’s UEFA Conference League before being eliminated in the qualifying stages.
