Liverpool are targeting a £20m pacey attacker following a setback in their pursuit of Antoine Semenyo.

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi.

The 23-year-old has been strongly linked with a switch to the Premier League in recent months, with Liverpool already holding discussions with his agent over a possible transfer. Arsenal and Manchester United are also said to be monitoring his situation. According to Anfield Index, Adeyemi could be available for around £20 million, while Chelsea were keeping tabs on him earlier in the season.

That fee would represent excellent value for a player of his ability, although it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can finalize the deal. The Reds have also been connected with Antoine Semenyo lately, but the Ghanaian is believed to favour a move to Manchester City, which would be a setback for Liverpool.

Strengthening the wide attacking areas is a priority, and exploring other options now makes sense. Adeyemi is a highly gifted attacker with significant potential and could grow into an elite player under the right coaching. Liverpool would hope to develop him into a key figure for the future, especially given that he has previously been described as “incredible.”

At the reported price, Adeyemi could prove to be a smart acquisition, and he should be capable of repaying that investment. The big question is whether he can adapt quickly to the Premier League and deliver straight away. So far this season, he has registered 11 goal contributions.

Comfortable playing across any of the front three positions, Adeyemi would bring speed, flair, and creativity to Liverpool’s attack. With Alexander Isak sidelined for several months due to a fracture, Liverpool are in need of additional attacking quality.

Negotiations with Borussia Dortmund could be key, but persuading the player himself may not be a major obstacle. A move to Liverpool would present an exciting opportunity, one that Adeyemi may find hard to turn down.
