Tottenham supporters call for Thomas Frank’s dismissal as a leading candidate to succeed him emerges

Tottenham Hotspur supporters are urging the club to dismiss head coach Thomas Frank after a heavy 3-0 Premier League loss to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Forest opened the scoring in the 28th minute when Archie Gray was caught in possession near the edge of the box after taking a short pass from Guglielmo Vicario. Ibrahim Sangaré pounced, laid the ball across to Callum Hudson-Odoi, and the winger finished from close range. The same duo combined again shortly after the break, before Sangaré capped the performance with a stunning 25-yard effort in the 79th minute, again set up by Hudson-Odoi, to wrap up an emphatic win for Sean Dyche’s side.

It was a miserable afternoon for Spurs, who managed just one shot on target all game. The defeat heaps more pressure on Frank, with Tottenham now recording only one victory in their last seven league outings.

Fans have increasingly criticised the Dane’s tactical approach, particularly after last month’s humiliating 4-1 defeat to Arsenal in the north London derby. While Spurs sit 11th in their Champions League group after three wins and two draws from six matches, they also find themselves in 11th place in the Premier League.

Taking to social media after the Forest loss, one supporter wrote: “Sack Frank at full-time. This team looks completely uninterested and clearly hasn’t bought into the manager.” Another added: “He’s turned us into Brentford. Get rid of him now.” A third fan commented: “If the board have any ambition, Thomas Frank has to go. He was meant to make us more organised and improve on last season, but he’s failed.”

Bookmakers have already begun speculating on potential replacements. According to Oddschecker, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner is the 5/1 favourite with BetVictor to take over if Frank is dismissed. The Austrian’s contract at Selhurst Park expires this summer, and he has previously been linked with both Manchester United and Liverpool. However, Liverpool rarely sack managers and have stood by Arne Slot despite recent scrutiny, while United have shown progress under Ruben Amorim.

Fulham’s Marco Silva and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola are next in the betting at 8/1, with Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi and former Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick—who played for Spurs between 2004 and 2006—priced at 12/1. All but Carrick boast Premier League managerial experience. Former Tottenham youth coach and current Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna has also been mentioned in the past, though he is now a 25/1 outsider.
