Mohamed Salah was back in Liverpool’s matchday squad for the clash with Brighton on December 13. After sitting out the midweek trip to Inter Milan in the aftermath of his controversial interview, the Egyptian forward started on the bench.

 

He was introduced before the half-hour mark, coming on for the injured Joe Gomez — and the Anfield crowd made their stance clear, greeting the 33-year-old with a warm and enthusiastic reception.
