Despite a strong response after the break—Mo Kudus halved the deficit and Spurs piled on the pressure—the damage from the early stages proved impossible to fully repair. A deflected strike from Kenny Tete and a simple finish for Harry Wilson after a misplaced Guglielmo Vicario pass left Spurs chasing the game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“This one was tough to take,” Frank said post-match. “We did our prep, the players were focused, and suddenly we’re two goals down inside six minutes. It’s typical of a team in a rough patch—nothing is going your way, you concede from a deflection and then an error.”
