Serie A star wants Real Madrid return despite Liverpool and Chelsea interest

After enjoying a breakout season under Cesc Fabregas, Nico Paz has carried his impressive form into the new campaign.

The young Argentine has quickly become one of Serie A’s brightest creative midfielders, having registered four goals and four assists in just 11 appearances so far. His performances have attracted major attention, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City all monitoring him.

Inter Milan are also reportedly eager to secure his signature, with the Italian giants ready to table a €58 million bid. However, despite growing interest from Europe’s elite, Paz is believed to be focused on returning to Real Madrid, according to Defensa Central.

The Argentine talent is said to be determined to prove himself at the Santiago Bernabéu, despite leaving the club in 2024 in search of regular playing time. His ambition is to fight for a starting spot and win trophies with Los Blancos, and he is prepared to make his way back to the Spanish capital soon.

Notably, Real Madrid inserted a special clause in his deal with Como that allows them to re-sign him for under €10 million — a bargain considering his current valuation. Still, with Jude Bellingham and Arda Güler already competing for attacking midfield roles, it remains uncertain whether Xabi Alonso will find room for Paz in next season’s squad.

If not, Madrid could still activate the clause, bring him back, and then sell him on for a substantial profit.
