Gary Lineker Thinks Liverpool Star Will Be Furious With Arne Slot’s Decision Against Man Utd

The fixture lived up to its billing as a true ‘Super Sunday’ clash, filled with drama and controversy. United’s first win at Anfield in nearly ten years also marked a fourth straight defeat for Arne Slot’s Liverpool, prompting pundit Gary Lineker to voice concerns about the Reds.

Lineker suggested that Mohamed Salah would have been far from pleased with Slot’s decision to substitute him while Liverpool were trailing late in the match. The Egyptian was replaced by full-back Jeremie Frimpong just minutes from time — a tactical switch that almost paid off when Frimpong’s cross found Gakpo, who narrowly missed with a header.

Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker said:
