Report: Liverpool could land “one of the Premier League’s most in-form players” without holding talks with his club

Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo has emerged as a potential departure target, with several clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.

The 25-year-old has been in outstanding form this season, registering nine goal contributions in just seven league games, making him one of the most in-form players in the Premier League.

Liverpool are among the sides showing interest, and according to Football Insider, Semenyo’s contract includes a release clause that could allow the Premier League champions to sign him for a fixed fee, avoiding lengthy negotiations with Bournemouth.

Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke explained: “It doesn’t change things drastically, but clubs are aware that there’s a release clause — a set figure that, if met, would allow them to activate it and pursue Semenyo without negotiating with Bournemouth.”

Liverpool may decide to test the waters in the coming months. Semenyo could be a strong addition for Arne Slot’s side, who have struggled to adequately replace Luis Díaz’s creativity and directness in attack. The Ghanaian’s pace and dribbling could offer a valuable upgrade on Cody Gakpo.

For Semenyo, the chance to join the reigning champions would be a huge career step — offering the chance to compete for major honours and develop alongside world-class teammates.

However, with multiple clubs in the race, securing his signature may not be straightforward. Liverpool would need to move swiftly if they hope to win the battle for hi

s services.
