“He’s mobile” – Agent hails Liverpool’s hopes of landing “extraordinary talent” over Chelsea

Lyon winger Malick Fofana’s agent has opened up about his client’s future, highlighting interest from Liverpool and other top European clubs.

The talented Belgian international has impressed in Ligue 1, and a major move appears increasingly likely. Chelsea are reportedly admirers of Fofana, as noted by CaughtOffside, while his representatives are also keeping an eye on Liverpool, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich as potential destinations.

Although Liverpool invested heavily in attacking reinforcements this summer, signing Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, and Florian Wirtz, it remains uncertain whether they will move for Fofana in the near term. Nevertheless, the agent’s recent comments are sure to attract attention.

Frederico Pena, general manager at Roc Nation Sports and Fofana’s representative, praised the youngster and suggested he is ready for a big step in his career. Speaking to HLN, Pena said:

“This is the season in which Fofana wants to showcase himself to the world, particularly at the World Cup. If he performs, a move from Lyon to a top-10 club is possible. At Roc Nation, we strongly believe in him. Clubs like Liverpool, Bayern, and Manchester City are where he belongs.”

Pena continued:

“We discovered Fofana through our own scouting system. He is an extraordinary talent gradually ready for a transfer. With the World Cup taking place next year in the United States—the birthplace of Roc Nation—we aim to guide players who can shine there, and Fofana fits that profile perfectly. We want to help him grow not only as a player but also as a personality off the field. He has the potential to reach the level of stars like Mbappe, Lamine Yamal, or Kevin De Bruyne.”

While Liverpool currently have strong attacking options, Fofana could still be on their radar if his form continues. Other top clubs are also monitoring talents in that position, with Michael Olise and Antoine Semenyo recently highlighted by the Daily Mail as potential targets.

If Fofana maintains his impressive performances, he could become a serious consideration for Liverpool. Chelsea are also likely to remain in the hunt, seeking to recruit and develop the best young players globally, with Fofana fitting that pro

file perfectly.
