Liverpool striker Jayden Danns has suffered an injury setback after limping off during the under-21s’ Premier League 2 match against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
The 19-year-old, who was wearing the captain’s armband, had to be substituted just after the 30-minute mark in a game that ended in a 3-2 defeat for the young Reds.
According to Liverpool ECHO, Danns will undergo further scans to assess the extent of the injury but has already been ruled out of Liverpool’s midweek Champions League clash with Galatasaray.
Earlier this month, Danns was named on the bench for Liverpool’s 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid in Europe and came off the bench in last week’s League Cup victory against Southampton at Anfield.
