Marc Guehi Linked with Move Away from Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has been at the center of transfer speculation in recent weeks. A move to Liverpool was anticipated on deadline day, but the transfer fell through after Palace failed to secure a replacement, forcing them to cancel the deal.
According to Defensa Central, the 25-year-old is now prepared to join Real Madrid if a move to Liverpool doesn’t materialize. Guehi reportedly sees the Spanish giants as his next preferred destination.
Will Liverpool Make Another Attempt?
Liverpool are expected to reignite their interest in Guehi when the January transfer window opens. With his contract set to expire next summer, the England international could be available for a reduced fee in January. However, whether Liverpool pursue the deal may depend on Ibrahima Konaté’s contract situation. If the French defender signs an extension, Liverpool may opt out, leaving the door open for Real Madrid.
Real Madrid Monitoring Situation
Real Madrid could benefit from strengthening their defense, and Guehi’s quality and experience in the Premier League make him a valuable target. A January pre-contract agreement could allow the Spanish club to secure him for free next summer. Guehi has reportedly told those close to him that Madrid would be his second choice if a Liverpool move doesn’t happen.
Currently regarded as one of the top defenders in the Premier League, Guehi has the potential to make a significant impact in La Liga and could prove to be a smart signing for Los Blancos.
