Salah Slams Fan Account for Disrespecting Former Teammates

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has hit back at a fan-run social media account, Anfield Edition, after it posted a graphic suggesting that Liverpool’s new signings — Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak — were a major upgrade over former players Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez.

The post showed Díaz and Núñez in black and white next to the new signings, with the caption:
“Name a bigger upgrade in footballing history.”

Salah, unhappy with the tone, responded on X:
“How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions?”

The fan account quickly apologized, saying they didn’t intend to insult the outgoing players but simply wanted to praise the club’s new recruits.

This comes after a busy transfer window for Liverpool, who sold Díaz and Núñez and brought in Wirtz and Isak in big-money deals. Salah’s comment highlighted his loyalty to former teammates and the importance of showing respect for their contributions to the team’s recent success.
