NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins believes the LA Lakers should target Utah Jazz players Colin Sexton and Walker Kessler in a trade. Sexton, earning $18.3 million, could add athleticism to the backcourt, while Kessler, earning $2.9 million, would complement Anthony Davis as a center.

“Sexton and Kessler are the pieces that the Lakers need. I wonder if Pelinka sees it,” Perkins tweeted during the Lakers’ game against the Jazz.

The Lakers, currently 12-8 and sixth in the Western Conference, are contenders but may need roster upgrades to sustain their success. However, trading for Kessler may be challenging, as Utah reportedly rejected a package involving D’Angelo Russell and multiple first-round picks.

With the trade deadline approaching, the Lakers are expected to stay active, but landing Sexton and Kessler will depend on finding a deal that appeals to the Jazz.
