Liverpool are reportedly making a late push to secure two major Premier League signings. According to Sky Sports and other sources, the Reds are targeting Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak and Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi as their main priorities.
Isak has been linked with Liverpool throughout the summer, although Newcastle are understandably reluctant to part with one of their star players. However, the Swedish forward is said to be eager to leave St James’ Park, especially after publicly criticizing the club over his treatment.
Guehi has also long been on Liverpool’s radar. Manager Arne Slot is believed to be preparing for the future, with Ibrahima Konate’s contract set to expire next summer.
Liverpool have already been active in the transfer market, having brought in Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez. Still, they appear keen to add even more talent, and both Isak and Guehi could be the next to arrive at Anfield.
The deals won’t come easy — Isak’s price tag is reportedly over £120 million, possibly nearing £150 million. Guehi, on the other hand, could be more affordable at around £30 million, as he’s entering the final year of his contract with Palace.
After winning their 20th league title last season, Liverpool are strong contenders to retain the crown — and adding Isak and Guehi would be a major signal of intent as they aim for Premier League dominance and a deep Champions League run.
All eyes will be on their upcoming clash with Arsenal at Anfield, where fans will be watching closely to see if any new faces are in the lineup.
