David Ornstein has reported that Liverpool still have a chance of signing Alexander Isak in the final stretch of the summer transfer window.
The Newcastle striker’s situation remains uncertain after he seemingly refused to play in an effort to push through a move to Anfield. He was absent from Newcastle’s 3-2 loss to Liverpool at St James’ Park last night.
Newcastle previously turned down a £110 million bid from Liverpool earlier this month and remain firm that Isak won’t be allowed to leave unless manager Eddie Howe can secure a replacement attacker before the transfer window closes next Monday.
