Federico Chiesa continues to draw significant attention as the summer transfer window nears its close, according to information obtained by CaughtOffside.
Sources familiar with the situation have indicated that up to six clubs are currently monitoring the Liverpool winger’s availability, as questions persist about his future at Anfield.
Chiesa recently made an impact by scoring a crucial late goal in Liverpool’s 4-2 season-opening win over Bournemouth. However, despite this contribution, there is still a possibility he could depart the club before the transfer window shuts.
The clubs reportedly showing interest include AC Milan, Inter Milan, Atalanta, Napoli, Roma, and Fulham. Additionally, CaughtOffside understands there have been internal conversations about potentially including Chiesa in a deal to bring Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool.
Chiesa might prove to be a key component in any negotiations involving Isak. While Newcastle are expected to demand a substantial fee for their Swedish forward, Liverpool may explore the option of including players like Chiesa in a swap-style offer to lower the cost.
Newcastle have already bolstered their attack with the signing of Anthony Elanga this summer, but Chiesa could still be an intriguing addition. Although the 27-year-old has seen limited playing time under new manager Arne Slot, he remains highly respected due to his previous form at Juventus.
Interest from Serie A clubs is strong, with many eager to see Chiesa return to Italy, where his reputation remains intact.
That said, Chiesa is not believed to be actively pushing for a move away from Liverpool. While he hasn’t yet secured a regular role under Slot, he could still have value as a squad or rotational player.
