Alexander Isak has made a bold move in trying to secure a transfer to Liverpool.

Alexander Isak is reportedly taking bold steps to force a move from Newcastle and secure his dream transfer to Liverpool.

On Tuesday morning, David Ornstein of The Athletic revealed that the Swedish striker feels his time at Newcastle is over and has no intention of playing for them again, even if he isn’t sold before the summer transfer window closes.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 25-year-old is determined to join Liverpool and is increasingly taking control of the situation himself.

Martin Hardy from The Times reported that Isak has moved out of his Newcastle residence in Ponteland, just eight miles from the city, in an effort to push through a transfer to Liverpool. The house was put back on the rental market the day after Isak was excluded from a team and family event organized by manager Eddie Howe. This came after he was first listed for rent when Isak traveled to Spain for solo training while his teammates were on their preseason trip to the Far East.

Though Isak insists he won’t play for Newcastle again, the club’s leadership remains firm that he won’t be sold this month. However, that stance could shift if they manage to sign two new centre-forwards before the September 1 deadline, especially after rejecting an opening bid for Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.

Irreparable Rift Between Isak and Newcastle
It’s clear now that Isak has no intention of mending ties at Newcastle and is doing everything he can to secure his Liverpool move. Manager Howe seems to have given up on the striker and does not plan to include him in the squad for their Premier League opener against Aston Villa, leaving Isak in limbo until a transfer can be finalized.

Unfortunately for Isak, he still needs Newcastle to change their firm “not-for-sale” position and accept offers. Alex Crook of talkSPORT mentioned that Liverpool remain confident they will eventually sign him for a fee slightly higher than their initial £110 million offer.

The situation between Isak and Newcastle is deteriorating, with little hope for reconciliation. Liverpool are likely taking note as they consider another bid to bring the striker to Merseyside. The question now is not if the transfer will happen, but how soon it will be completed.
