Liverpool are stepping up efforts to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace and Giovanni Leoni from Parma, with both defenders emerging as key targets to strengthen the club’s backline.
Guehi has agreed personal terms with the Reds, and negotiations with Crystal Palace are progressing well. A deal worth around £35 million is nearing completion as Liverpool look to wrap up the transfer soon.
Meanwhile, talks are also ongoing with Parma over a move for Leoni, another promising young centre-back. Both players are understood to be open to the switch, with Liverpool eager to finalise both signings.
With new head coach Arne Slot keen to reinforce the defence, Liverpool are moving decisively to secure their top targets ahead of the new season.
