After making a blockbuster offer for the Swedish forward last week, Liverpool faced a firm refusal from Newcastle, who are adamant that Isak is not for sale this summer unless an irresistible bid arrives—and even then, they remain hesitant.
This rejection has prompted Liverpool to quickly shift focus. They are now determined to strengthen their attack with another forward option.
With the recent sales of Luis Diaz and the anticipated exit of Darwin Nunez, manager Arne Slot is keen to bolster the squad’s attacking depth.
However, Fabrizio Romano reports that PSG have no plans to let Barcola leave this summer. The French club intends to offer the promising youngster a new contract and is ready to turn down Liverpool’s advances.
