Liverpool are reportedly the “frontrunners” to sign a star player with 25 goal contributions, according to a journalist’s latest update on the situation.

Rodrygo Could Leave Real Madrid Amid Premier League Interest

Rodrygo Goes may be on his way out of Real Madrid this summer, with several Premier League clubs reportedly monitoring his situation. Both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in the 24-year-old forward, who could be sold as Madrid look to generate funds.

No Formal Bids Yet

Despite the speculation, journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed that no official offers have been submitted for Rodrygo by any English clubs so far. He also downplayed rumours of Liverpool leading the race, stating:

> “There’s been talk of Liverpool being the favourites, Tottenham having made a bid, and Chelsea showing interest. But in reality, Rodrygo’s camp hasn’t held talks with any of these clubs, and Real Madrid haven’t received any concrete proposals.”

Rodrygo Could Be a Good Fit for Liverpool

With Darwin Núñez potentially on his way out, Liverpool could benefit from bringing in a versatile and creative attacker like Rodrygo. The Brazilian contributed 14 goals and 11 assists last season and is capable of playing across the front line. Under the right guidance, he could develop into a top-tier talent.

However, Liverpool are also pursuing Alexander Isak of Newcastle United. If they succeed in signing the Swedish striker—who appears to be their top target and could command a record-breaking fee—it’s unlikely they would also move for Rodrygo.

As things stand, the situation remains fluid, and it will be worth watching how it unfolds in the coming weeks.
