Liverpool set to make a serious move for forward who may cost over €100 million – and it’s not Isak.

Liverpool Turn Attention to PSG’s Bradley Barcola After Isak Pursuit Falls Through

Liverpool are preparing a major bid for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as they intensify their summer transfer efforts, following a failed attempt to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that the Reds are readying an official offer for Barcola worth over €100 million — a move that underlines their ambition in the current window.

While Barcola has long been on Liverpool’s radar, the club had initially focused on securing a high-profile deal for Isak. However, their proposal for the Swedish striker was rejected outright by Newcastle, who consider him untouchable unless an extraordinary offer arrives — and even then, their willingness to negotiate remains doubtful.

With that setback, Liverpool have swiftly shifted focus. Manager Arne Slot is keen to bolster his attacking options, particularly with Luis Diaz already sold and Darwin Nunez expected to depart soon.

Despite Liverpool’s growing interest, PSG remain firm in their stance. According to Fabrizio Romano, the French champions have no plans to let Barcola leave and are preparing a new contract offer to keep the promising forward in Paris.

Seen as one of France’s most talented young players, Barcola is viewed by Liverpool as a potential cornerstone for the club’s next-generation attack. The Premier League champions have already made significant signings this summer — including Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, and Jeremie Frimpong — and are looking to continue their aggressive recruitment.

Whether Liverpool’s expected offer will be enough to sway PSG remains to be seen.
