Fabrizio Romano recently claimed the Reds are planning to make a strong effort to land the Newcastle United striker. Isak, who was left out of Newcastle’s pre-season tour of Asia, is reportedly keen on a move to Anfield.

The potential sale of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich – reportedly for £65.6m according to Paul Joyce – is expected to bolster Liverpool’s transfer funds and could trigger their opening bid for the Swedish forward.

The Reds are expected to table an initial offer of £100m, despite Newcastle valuing the 25-year-old at 50% more. Liverpool believe a deal could be reached for around £120m, potentially including performance-based bonuses.

Isak is believed to have already agreed to personal terms on a five-year contract that aligns with his salary expectations.
