Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike has emerged as one of the standout names of the summer transfer window.
The Bundesliga club has reportedly placed a hefty €100 million price tag on the French striker, and it remains uncertain whether any suitor will meet that valuation.
Manchester United Step Up Interest
Manchester United are said to be among the most serious contenders for Ekitike’s signature. According to sources close to the situation, the Premier League side has already established contact with both the player and his representatives.
To accelerate negotiations, United are exploring a deal involving a player plus cash.
Newcastle Return for a Third Attempt
Newcastle United, who have unsuccessfully tried to sign Ekitike twice in the past, are back in the race. The club is prepared to invest significantly in the 22-year-old, viewing him as a forward who could complement Alexander Isak. Saudi Pro League clubs Al Hilal and Al Qadisiyah are also preparing offers for Ekitike. Despite the financial appeal, the player reportedly prefers to remain in Europe. Frankfurt believe these clubs could help them meet their €100 million valuation.
