Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes has recently been linked with a potential exit from the Spanish giants.
A number of top clubs are reportedly interested in the Brazilian international, with both Arsenal and Liverpool closely monitoring his situation.
Arsenal receive major transfer boost
As reported by Spanish outlet AS, Arsenal are prepared to offer around €90 million for Rodrygo. While Liverpool are also said to be in the race, the report suggests that if given a choice, Rodrygo would likely favor a move to Arsenal.
Having struggled for consistent minutes at Real Madrid, Rodrygo no longer appears to be an untouchable figure under Xabi Alonso’s plans, making a transfer to secure more playing time seem increasingly likely.
A switch to the Premier League could be a smart move for Rodrygo. Playing for top English clubs would give him more exposure and the chance to compete for major honors. Arsenal’s recent push for trophies makes them an appealing option, which reportedly aligns with the player’s own preferences.
Liverpool’s need for Rodrygo
On the flip side, Liverpool—last season’s Premier League champions—remain one of football’s elite sides and have their sights set on another Champions League title. With Darwin Núñez expected to depart after a disappointing campaign with just seven goals, Liverpool are in the market for a proven forward. Rodrygo could be the perfect replacement.
He would likely receive regular game time at Anfield and line up alongside elite players like Mohamed Salah. Liverpool will now aim to persuade him to choose Merseyside over North London.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also in need of attacking reinforcements. Gabriel Jesus has been inconsistent, and Kai Havertz hasn’t delivered consistently in front of goal. Signing Rodrygo could offer a significant upgrade and help solve Arsenal’s issues in the final third.
