Liverpool rumored to propose sensational swap deal for Newcastle’s Alexander Isak

Liverpool are reportedly considering a sensational swap deal in a renewed attempt to sign long-term target Alexander Isak from Newcastle United this summer.

The Swedish striker has been outstanding during his time at St James’ Park, catching the eye of both Liverpool and Arsenal with his performances.

Newcastle, however, are expected to demand a hefty fee for Isak, especially after a successful season that saw them win silverware and qualify for the Champions League. Letting him go would be a major decision.

According to the Daily Express, one potential solution for Liverpool could involve including Harvey Elliott in the deal to reduce the financial burden.

With Isak’s price tag reportedly exceeding £150 million, a player-plus-cash offer could be Liverpool’s most viable route. Newcastle are believed to admire Elliott, making him a logical bargaining chip.

The 22-year-old midfielder has yet to fully establish himself at Anfield and could benefit from a fresh start, particularly after impressing for England’s U21s this summer—a performance that may have further increased his appeal to clubs like Newcastle.
