“Expressed desire to leave” – Recent talks held as Liverpool star tells club he wants out

Liverpool winger Luis Díaz has reportedly told the club he’s open to leaving this summer—if the right offer comes in.

Since arriving from Porto in January 2022, the Colombian international has been an important part of Liverpool’s squad. Despite interest from several top clubs, Liverpool have so far turned down all approaches, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg. However, Bayern Munich remain interested, and Díaz has made it clear he’s willing to move if the opportunity is appealing enough.

Plettenberg shared on X that Díaz has reiterated his openness to a transfer, though Liverpool continue to reject advances from clubs such as Bayern and Barcelona. Bayern’s Max Eberl has reportedly held fresh discussions with Díaz’s representatives recently, but no formal offer has been made. The situation remains complicated, yet Bayern are still pushing.

Should Díaz depart, Liverpool would likely look to secure a high-quality replacement. They’ve already added attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, but additional depth may be necessary if Díaz exits.

The 28-year-old played a key role in Liverpool’s title-winning campaign last season, contributing 13 goals and 5 assists in the Premier League. Replacing that kind of impact won’t be easy.
