Liverpool turned down as striker decides on his next move for the summer.

Liverpool are in the market for a new striker this summer as they look to find a replacement for Darwin Núñez at Anfield.

Despite winning the Premier League last season, the club has moved quickly to bolster their squad in the transfer window. New manager Arne Slot has already secured the signings of Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez.

Slot is also aiming to bring in a new striker to lead the line, and one of the players Liverpool have been monitoring is Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

Victor Osimhen opts for Galatasaray switch
Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and netted an impressive 37 goals, is looking to leave Napoli permanently this summer. Although Liverpool have shown interest, they may now have to drop their pursuit.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Osimhen has made up his mind and wants a permanent move to Galatasaray. The Nigerian striker enjoyed his loan spell in Istanbul so much that he is prepared to turn down big-money offers from Saudi clubs and other Premier League sides to rejoin Galatasaray.

Liverpool to explore other striker options
With Osimhen off the table, Liverpool will now look at alternative striker targets. Two players on their radar are Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt and Alexander Isak of Newcastle United.

Given Isak’s likely high price tag, Liverpool may shift focus to securing Ekitike from the Bundesliga as a more feasible option.
