Liverpool Closing In on Marc Guehi Signing
Liverpool are reportedly nearing an agreement to sign Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi during the summer transfer window. As reported by DaveOCKop, the 24-year-old England international appears set to depart Selhurst Park, with his contract expiring next summer. Guehi is said to be eager for a move to a bigger club, and Liverpool are looking to finalize the deal soon.
Why Liverpool Want Guehi
With Jarell Quansah expected to leave, Liverpool are looking to reinforce their defense, and Guehi is being lined up as his replacement. The Reds are in need of a consistent and dependable central defender, and the Palace man could be a strong fit.
Injuries have plagued Joe Gomez, while Ibrahima Konaté’s future at Anfield is uncertain—his current deal runs out next summer, and he has yet to agree on an extension. Given Guehi’s contract situation, Liverpool could be in a strong bargaining position.
A Move to Anfield Suits Guehi
Guehi has proven himself in the Premier League and is now aiming to play at a higher level. A switch to Liverpool, the reigning league champions, would offer him the platform to compete for major honors.
Although other English clubs have shown interest, Guehi reportedly prefers a move to Anfield. The coming weeks will reveal whether Liverpool can complete the signing.
The Reds have already secured the services of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, and Milos Kerkez—whose transfer was confirmed earlier today.
