Liverpool Set to Announce Fourth Summer Signing as Milos Kerkez Undergoes Medical

Liverpool are on the verge of finalizing their fourth signing of the summer window, with Milos Kerkez close to completing his move from Bournemouth.

The Hungarian left-back arrived on Merseyside on Monday to begin medical assessments as part of the process leading to a permanent transfer.

Kerkez will become the second Hungarian international in the Liverpool squad, joining Dominik Szoboszlai, after making a strong impression across two Premier League seasons under Andoni Iraola.

Kerkez Undergoes Medical Before Signing

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed via X (formerly Twitter) that the 21-year-old is currently undergoing the final stages of his medical. Once completed, Kerkez will sign his contract, completing a £40 million move to Anfield.

The signing will boost Arne Slot’s defensive options, adding quality and competition to the back line. Jeremie Frimpong has already joined the squad this summer, while Giorgi Mamardashvili’s delayed arrival from last year is now also finalized.

Nat Phillips Makes Permanent Exit

In a separate piece of business, Nat Phillips has officially left the club. The 28-year-old defender has been seeking a permanent move and has now completed a transfer to West Bromwich Albion.

West Brom confirmed the deal on Monday evening via their official social media channels, noting that the fee remains undisclosed. Phillips follows Jarell Quansah, who moved to Bayer Leverkusen, as another centre-back to depart this summer.

Liverpool Eyeing More Defensive Signings?

With Quansah’s departure, Liverpool are expected to target another centre-back before the window closes. Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace continues to be linked, with growing speculation that he may be available at a reduced fee as he enters the final year of his contract.
