Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent months, with the 25-year-old reportedly eager to leave the club in search of regular game time.
Despite not being a first-choice starter, Kelleher has consistently impressed when called upon, showcasing his talent in domestic cup competitions and stepping in effectively during Alisson Becker’s absences. According to a report from TEAMtalk, Newcastle United are keen on signing the Irish goalkeeper and have the financial resources to make the move happen.
Leeds United have also shown interest in Kelleher, but Newcastle may see him as an ideal upgrade for their squad, particularly over current options like Nick Pope and Martin Dubravka. Securing Kelleher could strengthen Newcastle’s long-term goalkeeping options.
Liverpool is unlikely to part with Kelleher cheaply, but they may be open to letting him go after already securing Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, who is expected to compete with Alisson next season.
