Liverpool decide against pursuing €40 million Bundesliga defender

According to recent reports, including from BILD, the French international has effectively moved on mentally from his time at the Premier League side and is ready for a new challenge. This shift represents a major opportunity for Real Madrid. It will be intriguing to watch whether they can finalize the transfer.
Konaté is set to become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the season, and he has shown no interest in renewing with Liverpool. Meanwhile, the club does not appear particularly enthusiastic about pursuing Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck as a direct replacement. It remains to be seen if the German defender will now agree to extend his stay with Dortmund.
Schlotterbeck has attracted considerable attention from Premier League clubs lately.
