Sky Reporter delivers major update: Liverpool in talks to sign ‘high-class’ €100m talent

Liverpool have been strongly linked with a Premier League switch for Yan Diomande, and the Reds are keen to bring him in.

Per Florian Plettenberg, the club had Michael Olise from Bayern Munich as a prime target, but a summer move for the attacker now looks highly unlikely. As a result, Liverpool are redirecting their attention to the talented Ivorian forward.

The 19-year-old has been in outstanding form at RB Leipzig, showing all the qualities to develop into a top-class player. Reports confirm that the Merseysiders are actively pursuing him ahead of the upcoming window, with initial discussions already underway. It will be intriguing to watch whether they submit a formal bid.

Liverpool possess the financial muscle to meet a high valuation, and the young star—who has previously expressed his admiration for the club—might be drawn by the chance to shine in the Premier League.

The team is searching for a dynamic wide attacker capable of beating defenders in one-on-one duels and injecting more unpredictability in the attacking third. Diomande has delivered 17 goal contributions this season.

Plettenberg notes that the Reds are prioritizing a ‘high-class’ winger signing this summer. Whether they can finalize a deal for the teenager remains to be seen.

As an elite young talent, Diomande would represent an excellent long-term investment for Liverpool, with the potential to emerge as a standout performer in England.

The expected fee for the attacker is around €100 million, and it’s unclear if the club will be willing to pay that premium. Despite the steep price, he could prove to be a worthwhile investment over time.
