Opta Supercomputer forecasts Tottenham’s final Premier League position following Fulham loss

We’ve reviewed the updated Premier League projections from the Opta Supercomputer after Tottenham’s latest setback.

Spurs suffered another league defeat on Sunday, this time losing a London derby away at Fulham. There were few positives to take from the display, with Igor Tudor admitting his team’s performance fell well below the required standard.

The Croatian coach now appears to be facing an enormous task, as Tottenham currently look incapable of putting together a winning run.

Current standings (bottom half battle)

14th: Crystal Palace – 35 pts

15th: Leeds – 31 pts

16th: Tottenham – 29 pts

17th: Nottingham Forest – 27 pts

18th: West Ham – 25 pts

Opta’s prediction for Tottenham

Despite their ongoing struggles, Opta’s model does not foresee Spurs dropping further down the table. The Supercomputer projects Tottenham to finish on approximately 42.05 points, which would likely secure 16th place.

West Ham are tipped to end the campaign in 18th on 35.12 points, while Nottingham Forest are projected to finish 17th with 38.26 points.

Can Spurs reach 40 points?

Tottenham would need three wins and two draws from their remaining 10 matches to hit the traditional 40-point safety mark.

However, based on current form — and with Spurs still searching for their first Premier League win of 2026 — it’s unclear where those victories will come from.

The only comfort for Tottenham is that both Forest and West Ham are also struggling, meaning survival could potentially require as few as 35 or 36 points this season.
