EXCLUSIVE: Left-back eyes Liverpool move to fill Andy Robertson’s spot following discussions

 

 

Liverpool are reportedly renewing their interest in Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson and are preparing a fresh bid to bring him to Anfield. Robinson was a target for the Reds in the summer of 2025, but Liverpool instead opted to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

Kerkez’s arrival led to Kostas Tsimikas moving to Roma on a one-year loan deal. Now, with Andy Robertson set to join Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool’s left-back plans are changing again. Sources suggest Tsimikas could return to Liverpool, while talks over Robinson, a player the club still highly values, have also been reopened ahead of a potential summer 2026 move.

The 28-year-old USA international, who previously played for Everton, is reportedly open to returning to Merseyside. Liverpool see a Robinson-Kerkez pairing as the long-term solution for their left side. Robinson has been at Fulham since 2020, under contract until 2028, and has made 202 appearances, scoring three goals and providing 22 assists.

While Liverpool aim for a Premier League top-four finish, Fulham are targeting a top-half finish. Part of Liverpool’s reshuffle could involve sending Tsimikas to Fulham in summer 2026. Fulham have also shown renewed interest in bringing Harvey Elliott back, although a deal could only occur next summer due to Elliott’s appearances for two clubs this season. Elliott is also considering a move to MLS, where the season calendar differs.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are planning another raid on Liverpool after signing Robertson, with a potential £33m double deal in discussion. As part of this, Liverpool could receive priority for Micky van de Ven. Finally, a Spanish report has named a Liverpool midfielder Real Madrid may target with a major bid.
