Huge boost for Liverpool and Chelsea in pursuit of African wonderkid

Liverpool and Chelsea are tracking RB Leipzig sensation Yan Diomande, with both clubs considering a move for the 19-year-old winger at the end of the season.
Diomande has lit up the Bundesliga and impressed on international duty, establishing himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young attackers. Naturally left-sided but capable on either flank, he offers blistering pace, creativity, and unpredictability — exactly what both Premier League giants have been missing out wide.
Their interest has been boosted by comments from Red Bull director Oliver Mintzlaff, who admitted Leipzig may have to cash in:
“You can’t let him go after just one year… But the truth is that there are also other top clubs out there… and we have to generate revenue.”
Tottenham attempted a move in January, while Bayern Munich are already lining up a summer bid. Even so, Liverpool and Chelsea will back themselves. Both have the financial power to meet Leipzig’s demands and the stature to tempt the player.
A switch to the Premier League would be hugely appealing, offering Diomande the chance to compete at the very top. With elite clubs circling across Europe, a transfer battle is looming — and to make things even more intriguing, the Ivorian has openly admitted he’s a huge Liverpool fan. 👀
