Tottenham have confirmed their sixth piece of business in the January transfer window, coming just a day after completing Conor Gallagher’s £35m move.

Tottenham have announced that Damola Ajayi has departed on loan for the remainder of the campaign, linking up with League Two outfit Bromley. The 20-year-old was brought back early from his stint at Doncaster Rovers before finalising the move, having featured 19 times across all competitions there, scoring twice and providing one assist.

Ajayi has already sampled senior action with Spurs, making his first-team bow in a Europa League win over Elfsborg. He marked the occasion by getting on the scoresheet in the 3-0 victory, highlighting the promise he showed while rising through the academy ranks. While his opportunities at Doncaster were limited, the switch to Bromley is something of a return home, with the forward having previously represented the club at academy level before joining Tottenham.

His loan departure is the sixth transaction Spurs have completed during a busy January, coming a day after the club confirmed the £34m arrival of Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid as part of an ongoing squad overhaul. Speaking after completing his move, Gallagher said he was thrilled to join Spurs and eager to take the next step in his career, describing the transfer as happening quickly and expressing excitement about playing in front of the club’s supporters.

Head coach Thomas Frank praised Gallagher’s qualities, describing him as a top-class midfielder who brings both youth and valuable experience from the Premier League, La Liga and international football.
