Tottenham Reach Out About £75m Striker with Salah-Like Style in Surprising Move
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been approached about a potential “shock” move for Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi as they aim to strengthen their attack in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.
The north London side is close to completing deals for Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher and Santos left-back Souza this month, and the club now plans to focus on adding a striker for manager Thomas Frank.
Tottenham already have three forwards on their radar, but the 23-year-old Germany international has recently emerged as a potential option, according to the report.
Adeyemi Move Would Be Unexpected
TEAMtalk states that Tottenham have been made aware of Adeyemi’s situation. Their main forward targets this month have been Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, and Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis. While Akliouche could be available if Monaco find a replacement, Leipzig has ruled out selling Diomande this month.
Turning attention to Adeyemi at this stage would be a “surprise,” TEAMtalk suggests, but the 23-year-old German, valued at £75m and contracted to Dortmund until 2027, may be open to a new challenge this year.
Adeyemi Could Boost Tottenham’s Attack
Adeyemi has faced off-field challenges, including a conviction for illegal possession of weapons, but his talent on the pitch remains undeniable. He has scored six goals and provided four assists in 23 appearances this season, and boasts 32 goals and 22 assists in 130 career Bundesliga matches.
Described by the official Bundesliga site as “faster than a speeding bullet,” Adeyemi’s style has been compared to Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah. His pace and attacking threat could fill a key gap in Tottenham’s final third. Adding him would also be a major coup, as he has previously been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool.

In addition, reports from Spain suggest Tottenham have submitted a £52m offer for Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz as part of their January recruitment drive. The club is clearly determined to bolster Frank’s squad and push Tottenham higher up the Premier League table before the February 2 deadline.
