Exclusive: Liverpool ace turns down Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to reach agreement in principle on new contract

 

 

Liverpool are believed to have reached an agreement in principle with Dominik Szoboszlai over a new contract at Anfield.

Sources indicate that both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich had shown genuine interest in the Hungary international, but he is now expected to pledge his future to Liverpool. With his current deal running until 2028, there was no immediate urgency to finalise fresh terms, yet the club were eager to move quickly to deter attention from Europe’s elite.

While it remains unclear whether Szoboszlai was a top priority for either Real or Bayern, there was definite interest, and Liverpool were always determined to keep hold of him.
