Spurs Fans Shocked by Thomas Frank’s Pre-Match Action

Spurs fans are demanding the sacking of manager Thomas Frank following their 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth, and a pre-match incident has left supporters bewildered.
Spurs initially took the lead in the fifth minute through Mathys Tel but trailed 2-1 by half-time after goals from Bournemouth forwards Evanilson and Junior Kroupi, who ended the home side’s 10-game Premier League winless streak. Joao Palhinha pulled Spurs level in the 78th minute, but the visitors couldn’t find a winner.

Instead, Antoine Semenyo, in what is expected to be his final game before a move to Manchester City, scored a dramatic 95th-minute winner for Bournemouth.

The loss leaves Spurs 14th in the Premier League, having won just two of their last ten league matches. Fans, frustrated by the team’s poor form, have called for Frank to be dismissed.

Adding to the controversy, Frank was photographed drinking from an Arsenal-branded cup at Dean Court before kick-off, a moment captured by Getty and PA Images.

It’s unclear how the Spurs manager came to possess a cup from their North London rivals, although Bournemouth had recently hosted Arsenal on January 3, with each club having its own branded cups.

While some of the reactions were tongue-in-cheek, fans were quick to comment. One wrote, “I don’t care about being 14th, sack him for this.” Another asked, “Where did Thomas Frank even get the Arsenal cup from?” Others echoed the sentiment: “Sack Frank for Arsenal cup alone,” and “Yeah, unironically get him out for this.”
