Antoine Semenyo has made it clear to a Premier League side that he wants to complete a move in the January transfer window.

 

 

Antoine Semenyo has been at the centre of intense transfer speculation in recent weeks, with several top clubs battling for his signature. Bournemouth have accepted that they are likely to lose him early in the January transfer window, and the player has now reportedly decided on his next destination.
While Manchester City have led the race for much of the process, Liverpool and Arsenal have remained firmly in contention. However, it now appears City have edged ahead. According to Football Insider, former scout Mick Brown has claimed that Semenyo has made a final decision to join Manchester City in January.
Brown explained that Semenyo has discussed his future with his agent and those involved in the negotiations, and his choice has now been communicated to the interested clubs. With City pushing to complete the deal swiftly, the expectation is that the move will soon be finalised.
He added that choosing between clubs like Manchester City, Liverpool, and even Manchester United was never going to be easy, but having such options reflects well on the player. Ultimately, Semenyo is said to have opted for City, attracted by the chance to work under Pep Guardiola and compete regularly for major trophies. While it represents a fantastic opportunity for the player, it would come as a major disappointment for Liverpool, who were keen on him—especially given the uncertainty surrounding Isak and Salah.
The appeal of playing under Guardiola clearly played a significant role in Semenyo’s thinking, and with the likelihood of regular game time at the Etihad, the move appears to be a logical step in his career.
