Liverpool send shockwaves across Europe with a surprise bid for lightning-fast attacker

Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Borussia Dortmund’s German forward Karim Adeyemi.

The 23-year-old has impressed in the Bundesliga and is highly rated by Dortmund. Reports from Fichajes claim the club values him at around €60 million, but they are unwilling to open negotiations for anything less than €75 million. Despite this, Liverpool are said to have submitted an opening bid of just €20 million — an offer that has reportedly shocked Dortmund officials and falls far short of their expectations. As things stand, it appears very unlikely that Adeyemi could be secured for such a fee, and Liverpool would need to return with a significantly improved proposal to keep talks alive.

Liverpool are eager to strengthen their attacking options, and Adeyemi’s versatility makes him an attractive target. He can operate across the front three and would bring pace, flair, and unpredictability to the Reds’ attack. With his age and potential, the German international could also be developed into a key player for the future, particularly providing much-needed depth on the wings.

A move to a club of Liverpool’s stature could appeal to Adeyemi, and he may be open to the switch if the two clubs can reach a compromise. The Reds have also been linked with Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, although the winger reportedly favours a move to Manchester City, which may explain Liverpool’s focus on alternative options.

With the January transfer window approaching, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can land the right reinforcements. Strengthening the squad will be crucial if they are to push for a top-four finish, and alongside an attacking addition, investment in a quality defender could also be a priority.
