Tottenham supporters won’t be pleased with Jeff Stelling’s predicted scoreline for the away match against Crystal Palace.

Jeff Stelling has highlighted a potential concern for Crystal Palace while giving his prediction for their Premier League meeting with Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs travel to Selhurst Park in poor form, having managed just one win in their last eight league matches. With this being their final game of 2025, Tottenham are desperate to rediscover momentum, as pressure continues to mount on Thomas Frank. Despite the recent struggles, goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario believes the team showed signs of improvement against Liverpool, applauding their resilience after being reduced in numbers.

Stelling backs Palace to deepen Spurs’ woes

Although Stelling acknowledged that Palace could suffer from tiredness following a physically and emotionally taxing Carabao Cup quarterfinal loss to Arsenal, he still expects them to come out on top. The Eagles’ squad depth worries him, but not enough to change his prediction.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Stelling said he is concerned about the congested schedule for Palace’s small squad, yet questioned whether Spurs are capable of finishing a disappointing year on a positive note. Ultimately, he tipped Palace to edge the contest.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1–0 Tottenham Hotspur.

Injury and suspension issues for Spurs

Tottenham head into the match severely short-handed. Five players remain sidelined through injury, while Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma are away on international duty at AFCON. On top of that, Xavi Simons and Cristian Romero are suspended after being sent off against Liverpool.

As a result, Spurs will field a heavily weakened side in South London, though Frank may take some comfort in the fact that his players should be more rested than Palace, who endured a demanding midweek fixture.
