Liverpool target £20m pacey forward following Antoine Semenyo disappointment

Liverpool are showing interest in Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi as they explore attacking reinforcements.

The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a Premier League switch in recent months, and Liverpool are understood to have already held discussions with his representatives over a possible transfer. Arsenal and Manchester United are also monitoring the situation, while Chelsea had kept tabs on Adeyemi earlier in the season. Reports from Anfield Index suggest Dortmund could be willing to listen to offers in the region of £20 million.

That figure would represent excellent value for a German international of Adeyemi’s quality and potential. Whether Liverpool can push the deal over the line remains to be seen, especially after missing out on Antoine Semenyo, who now favours a move to Manchester City following an outstanding campaign — a setback for the Reds.

With Liverpool keen to strengthen their wide attacking options, turning to alternatives makes sense. Adeyemi is widely regarded as a gifted attacker with a high ceiling, and under the right coaching, he could evolve into an elite-level player. Previously described as “incredible,” he has already registered 11 goal contributions this season.

Comfortable operating across the front three, Adeyemi would bring versatility, creativity, and explosive pace to Liverpool’s attack. His relatively modest price tag looks justified given his upside, and he could quickly repay the investment if he adapts well to the Premier League.

With Alexander Isak sidelined for months due to a fracture, Liverpool are eager to boost their attacking depth. Talks with Dortmund could prove decisive, and persuading Adeyemi himself may not be a major hurdle, as the move would offer him an exciting platform to take the next step in his career.
